Greece dominated the narrative this week as bailout talks stalled Thursday and moved into the weekend ahead of a Tuesday debt deadline. Tuesday is the day Athens has to make a 1.54 billion euro payment to the International Monetary Fund or default. The IMF has said it won’t extend the deadline while significant gaps remain between Athens and its creditors when it comes to getting an agreement to unlock funds. Turning to the US, economic data was better than expected this week led by a jump in consumer spending.
